- Take 1 Tbsp Hoisin sauce
- Make ready 1 Tbsp Chili Garlic sauce
- Take 1 Tbsp Honey
- Make ready 4 Tsp brown sugar
- Take 2 Tbsp Balsamic Glaze
- Prepare 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Take 1/4 cup Beef or Chicken stock
- Make ready 3 Tbsp melted butter
- Get NOW PREPARE THE FOLLOWING WHILE RIBS ARE IN REFRIGERATOR:
- Get Cut 1/2 large onion into 1 inch slices
- Make ready Cut 4 cloves garlic in half
- Prepare 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- Prepare Pour olive oil into a sauce pan; on low heat add onions to clarify and garlic halves to lightly brown (about 10 minutes) see photo below
Mixing many flavors I enjoy and capturing the sweet yet savory. But most importantly "I LOVE SHORT RIBS"! I am always experimenting with different ways to cook them. Maybe in other places beef short ribs are different but I will be deleting this recipe as soon as I am done the review.
Instructions to make 5 Star Beef Short Ribs:
- Rub the dry ingredients all over the short ribs; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Onion and Garlic mixture; after 10 minutes remove from heat, COVER and let sit for 2 hours while ribs are in refrigerator. Sauce mixture that is set aside. Hint: I make a smaller version in a separate bowl to pour on after ribs are done.
- After 2 hours remove ribs from refrigerator. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Remove onions and garlic with slotted spoon and place in a bowl, set aside. ADD 2 tbsp Olive Oil to pan and heat to high temperature to sear ribs. Sear ribs on ALL sides until deep brown in color (about a minute on each side) Picture below are the seared ribs. - POUR bowl of sauce over ribs (bone side down, meat side up). ADD onions & garlic on top. COVER & place in 200 degree oven for 4 hours.

- I served these with buttered egg noodles and steamed broccoli. - ENJOY!
I am always experimenting with different ways to cook them. Maybe in other places beef short ribs are different but I will be deleting this recipe as soon as I am done the review.
