- In a big pot, add 5 tbsp of oil. Add shallots in and stir fry until browny.
- Add garlic paste and ginger and mix well, stir for 2 mins.
- Add green chilies and tomatoes, stir for 2 mins.
- Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, stir for 2 mins, or until tomatoes gone soft.
- Add chicken in, mix well and stir for 2 mins on high heat.
- Add 1 tbsp of garam masala and 1 tbsp chili powder and salt. stir for 5 mins on medium heat.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 2 mins.
- Cover the lid and let it cook for 20 mins.
- Serve with coriander or few spoonful of coconut milk (optional).
