- In a glass measuring cup, combine the yeast and lukewarm milk mix well and let it sit for 10 minutes. In the meantime, mix the flour, dry milk powder and sugar in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre then add whipping cream,egg,melted butter and yeast mixture and stir into the dry ingredients.
- Knead with your hands until the dough forms a smooth, soft ball, about 4-5 minutes. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Leave at room temperature until doubled in size, this takes about 2 hours.
- Remove the dough from the bowl and turn onto a well-floured surface. Knead it briefly and divide the dough into 5 equal portions. Each ball Roll it into ovals or shape. - - Cut vertical line but only create these vertical lines half way up the dough. This should create a barcode type pattern on one half of the oval.
