- #STEP_1 - - First wash the rice in a plain water 3 to 4 time & soak the rice in a water 40-45min. - In a cooking pot, take water, chicken and a teaspoon of salt. Turn on the flame. Add to it, all the yakhni (stock) ingredients and boil for around 20 minutes or until chicken gets done.
- #STEP_2 - - Strain the chicken stock with chicken pieces aside. The 'yakhni'(stock) is ready.

- #STEP_6 - - Add chicken pieces to the masala and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
- #STEP_8 - - Sprinkle fried onions, coriander leaf, mint leaf tomato slice, lemon wedges, yellow food colour on the rice, add a tbsp of ghee or oil and seal the pot with foil or kitchen tea towel so that the flavors do not escape.
- #STEP_9 - - Cook on a low heat for 10-15 minutes or till the rice is done.
- #STEP_7 - - Add this masala to the prepared yakhni (stock) in the cooking pot, turn on the heat.add the rice & cook the rice uncovered for 5 minutes or till water dries up.
