- Make ready 1/2 tbsp soya sauce
- Take 1/2 tbsp tomato sauce (optional)
- Take 1/2 tbsp green chilli sauce
- Get 1/2 tsp sugar
- Prepare 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- Make ready 1/2 tsp black pepper powder for garnish
Instructions to make Chicken Manchurian (gravy):
- Take chicken in a mixing bowl, add above-mentioned ingredients for marination. Mix well and keep it marinated for 30 minutes in fridge.
- Next cut the vegetables.Heat the oil for deep frying. Fry chicken at medium hot oil, till cooked and golden brown colour. Do not overfry it will become rubbery.
- As chicken becomes golden brown. Strain the chicken, remove extra oil and keep aside. Now place a pan, put oil, heat it. Add garlic, ginger and green chillies. Next add onion and saute.
- As onion becomes translucent, add the vegetables. Adding veggies is optional. But it enhances taste. Cook it, yet keep it crunchy. Add salt, soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper powder and sugar. Mix all well. Add water covering the vegetables. Let it come to boil at slow flame.
- Add cornflour slurry. Stir continuously to avoid any lumps. Let it come to boil. As gravy thickens, add the fried chicken pieces.
- Mix well. Let it cook in slow flame.
- Switch the flame off. Cover for a minute. Sprinkle some more black pepper powder and mix. - Delicious chicken manchurian is ready to serve… - Have it with fried rice/ chowmein/ triple Schezwan fried rice…
