Steps to make Chocolate Fantasy Cake:
- First, assemble all the ingredients at room temperature on kitchen table and measure them correctly. Then grease a round cake tin, sprinkle flour and dust well all over. Line with parchment paper. Then mix and sieve all dry ingredients in a bowl. Then grind them to a smooth powder.
- Then keep oven to preheat at 180°c for 10 minutes. In another bowl, mix oil, water, vanilla and whisk well. Then add dry ingredients in small batches and combine with cut and fold method.
- Pour in the tin. Tap well. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Take out from oven and cover with kitchen towel and cool completely.
- To decorate the cake, chill the whipped cream and cake wrapped in Asahikasei cling wrap. Then take out the cake and slice in 3 parts. Take the bottom slice on cake board. Soak all over with sugar syrup.
- Then spread whipped cream, chocolate ganache and drizzle chocolate chips. Then cover with top slice placed in middle. Repeat the process. Finally keep the middle slice on top.
- Cover the sides with whipped cream. Crumb coat the cake. Chill for 20 minutes. Then apply second cream layer. Then cover top with chocolate ganache. Pour chocolate sauce on sides for dropping effect.
- Pipe out the remaining cream filled in icing bag, fitted with star nozzle. Then pipe our stars on top and at the sides as lace. Decorate side with heart shaped biscuits dipped in ganache.
